Runway Inspired Street Style. The art of clashing prints by Lee Oliveira
A mash up of prints was a key theme in the Spring/Summer 2016 Collections from designers such as Jonathan Saunders and Gucci. But mixing prints isn’t actually as intimidating as you think it would be.
Some might quiver in fear at the thought of mixing a geometrical print with a floral print or even thin stripes with thick. “How do I know what to pair with it?!” they may exclaim to themselves in despair. To that, I say, think about juxtaposition and contrasting prints!
It takes a little bit to get used to but it gets easier. I swear. If you’re still not convinced by now, start off small! Try mixing up the prints on your accessories. You don’t need to go all out if you don’t want to. Remember, baby steps and have fun with it!
